(Pittsburgh) — Matt Holliday and David Freese drove in two runs each to lead the Cardinals to a 7-2 win over the Pirates at PNC Park. Allen Craig, Matt Carpenter and Yadier Molina had two hits each. Joe Kelly allowed a run on four hits and struck out five to improve to 7-and-3. The Cardinals moved into a tie for first place with the Pirates in the NL Central. The Cards open a series in Cincinnati this afternoon.

St. Louis hosts the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome in the season opener.
