It’s time for the high school baseball final four tournament. In Class 1 the Santa Fe Chiefs face Oran this (Wed) morning at 10 in Springfield. The Norwood Pirates and Sturgeon Bulldogs are the other two Class 1 final four teams. They match up this afternoon at 1.
In Class 2 the South Callaway Bulldogs take on Clever tonight at 7. The Summit Christian Academy Eagles face Valle Catholic in a 4 p.m. matchup.
In Class 3 high school playoff baseball the Marshall Owls will take on Westminster Friday at 1 p.m.
In Class 4 action Liberty faces Rockwood Summit Friday at 4 p.m.
The state high school baseball final four games for all classes are being played at Meador Park in Springfield.
There will be a Basketball Shooting Camp at Braymer High Schoool Thursday May 31st and Friday June 1st for any student entering the the 4th to 12th grades. The 9th-12th grade camp times will be from 8:30-11:30 and 4th-8th grade times will be 12:30-3:30 on both days. The cost for the 2 day camp is $60. Campers can register at the door. The rosters have been announced for the 2012 Lions All Star basketball games. That game is coming up Saturday June 2nd at Georgia Robertson Burns Complex at Missouri Valley College in Marshall. The girls play at 6 p.m. followed by the boys at 8 p.m.

CLEVELAND (AP) – Mike Moustakas had a career-best four RBIs last night to lead the Kansas City Royals past the Cleveland Indians 8-2. Rookie starter Will Smith got his first major league win after allowing two runs over six innings. Humberto Quintero added two RBIs for the Royals.
Kansas City is in Cleveland to go for the sweep of that three game series with the Indians at 11:05 this morning.
ATLANTA (AP) — Dan Uggla and Michael Bourn homered last night in the Atlanta Braves’ 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The victory snapped the Braves eight-game losing streak. Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina went 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.
The Redbirds face Atlanta for the rubber match of their three game series tonight at 6:10.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Sporting Kansas City held on for a 3-2 win over Orlando City SC last night in the third round of the US Open Cup. Soony Saad scored twice in a four-minute span for Sporting KC. They will host the Colorado Rapids on June 5th in the fourth round.
