Missouri volleyball suffered a thorough defeat at the hands of No. 4 Louisville, who dominated on both ends of the floor from start to finish and swept Missouri at the South Dakota Tournament on Saturday in Vermilion, South Dakota.

In spite of Anna Dixon’s team-leading 12 kills, Louisville stifled the Missouri offensive game plan. The Tigers attacked at a percentage of .042 with 25 errors, compared to the Cardinals’ .298 percentage and 12 errors.

Anna DeBeer paced the Cardinals with 10 kills on a .316 percentage.

Compared to 30 total blocks in their previous match, the Tigers only managed 16 against a potent Cardinals offense that maintained heavy pressure throughout.

The Tigers close out tournament play at 1 p.m. Sunday against the tournament’s host, South Dakota.
