ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. — A crash in Andrew County resulted in the arrest of a St. Joseph man early Sunday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly before 5:00 a.m. Sunday on Business 71 Highway, four miles north of St. Joseph.
A sport-utility vehicle operated by Javon L. Harker, 24, was northbound on Business 71 when it ran off the west side of the road, crossed the median and southbound lanes before overturning, coming to rest on its top.
Harker, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the report, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care for treatment.
He was arrested a short time later on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated as a prior offender, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash and driving without a seat belt.
Harker was processed and released to the hospital for medical care.
