CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis resident will appear for a formal arraignment today, on several drug allegations in Callaway County.

Van L. Love, 49, was arrested by the Missouri Highway Patrol after a traffic stop on December 27, 2018. Originally stopped for failing to drive within right lane of a highway with two or more lanes in one direction, it was determined that Love had no valid drivers license.

After being transported to the county jail, a search located a razor blade and capsules containing heroin and ecstasy. Along with the traffic violations, Love is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon at a county jail and attempting to tamper with evidence in a felony prosecution.

Love is scheduled to appear at 9:00 a.m. this morning.
