BOONE COUNTY, Mo.— (update 02/04/2020 3:40 a.m.) A Columbia man accused in a weekend stabbing looks forward to a bond hearing Wednesday in Boone County Court.
Larry Wesley Galbreath appears to discuss bond conditions with a judge after he was denied bond at his initial arraignment. Galbreath faces felony charges of assault on a special victim, armed criminal action, kidnapping, burglary, and three lesser charges. Allegations arose when Galbreath allegedly stabbed a woman Friday, Jan. 31. The woman’s current condition remains unknown however; at the time of her hospitalization her wounds were life-threatening.
COLUMBIA, Mo.—A suspect was taken into custody after a Friday morning stabbing in Columbia. The Police Department said a woman was stabbed around 4:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Park Avenue. The 34 year old victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. 50 year old Larry Wesley Galbreath is charged with two felony counts of assault, armed criminal action, kidnapping, first degree burglary, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. Bond is set at $500,000 with conditions.
