MARSHALL, Mo. — A standoff in Marshall Sunday evening ended with a man being taken into custody.
A press release from Sgt. Roger Gibson of the Marshall Police Department reports that at around 5 p.m., Marshall Police Dispatch received an emergency call in regards to a disturbance in the area of Kay Street. A quote from the release states, “Marshall Police responded and upon officers arrival a 58-year-old Marshall man brandished a firearm and then barricaded himself in the residence. Marshall Police secured the area while the Missouri State Highway Patrol (SWAT) team was contacted and responded to Kay Street. The Missouri State Highway Patrol after speaking with the man over a period of time was able to have the man walk out of the residence where he was taken into custody.”
