There are two weeks remaining in the Second Regular Session of the 96th General Assembly, and several proposals are making their way through the Legislature.  Senator Joseph Keavney of St. Louis says his proposal, Bill 762 would be important to charter schools.

Keavney is hopeful the measure, which has already been approved by Senate Education Committee, will see extended time on the Senate Floor.

Senator Brian Munzlinger from Williamstown says House Bill 1073 is an amended version of his Senate Bill 491 which includes funding for the Future Farmers of America in private schools.

Senate Bill 498 which would prohibit cities from restricting veterans’ organizations from operating resale shops in certain areas was debated in Jefferson City.  Senator Brian Munzlinger from Williamstown says his proposal has become part of the 2013 budget even though it was not his original intention.
