ST. LOUIS (AP) — A six-year-old St. Louis boy is recovering after being shot while playing on his front porch. The shooting happened last night, and police say the child was an innocent bystander. The boy was struck in the arm and taken to an area hospital.

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) — Officials from both St. Louis and University City say the Delmar Loop is safe despite two shootings over the weekend. The officials spoke at a news conference yesterday, saying the shooting incidents were an anomaly. St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay says authorities in both cities won’t tolerate bad behavior.

ST. LOUIS (AP) – A 17-year-old is dead following what authorities believe was a drag racing accident in St. Louis. Tianna Reed died in the crash early yesterday. The 17-year-old male drive and another passenger in the car where hospitalized in critical condition.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri businesses and business owners could start paying lower taxes under legislation that’s moving through the state Senate. The legislation would cut the state’s corporate income tax in half over five years. It’s already been approved by a Senate panel and could be debated by the full chamber in the coming weeks.
