JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Authorities in central Missouri are looking for two men charged in a fatal shooting that followed a dispute over a loud muffler on a pickup truck. Twenty-six-year-old Francisco Navarro was killed Sunday in a mobile home park just west of Jefferson City. Cole County authorities said today they’re searching for both suspects as well as a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora with the Missouri plate tag DF0-R8N.

Anthony Smith was suspected of making a drug deal before he was shot to death by an officer. Authorities say Smith was reaching for something in his vehicle when police opened fire.

LEBANON, Mo. (AP) — Walmart is pulling a batch of baby formula off its shelves following the death of a Missouri baby. Ten-day-old Avery Cornett died Sunday after falling ill with a rare bacterial infection, which can come from contaminated powdered infant formula. Walmart is recalling all 12-point-five ounce cans of Enfamil Newborn powder with the batch number Z-P-1-J-7-G as a precaution.
WARRENSBURG, Mo. (AP) — A new agreement between two nearby schools will give students another option to pursue careers managing the aftermath of disasters. Students who earn a two-year homeland security degree at Wentworth Military Academy and College in Lexington will be able to seamlessly transfer to the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg to pursue a four-year degree in crisis and disaster management.
