Bungart says the Pocket Ranger Mobile Tour Guide app is now available for the Apple iPhone and will soon be available for Android smartphones. According to Bungart, the software allows users to access information about state parks and historic sites. The program is all-inclusive as users can not only find out what services are available at a certain park, but also make camping reservations. The embedded social networking feature lets patrons quickly share their experiences.

Bungart says for a nominal fee the software can be upgraded. The upgraded version features GPS capability to mark favorite trails and fishing spots as well as friend finder, a way to locate family or friends within the park.
