Stet R-15 school closed its doors for the final time on Thursday and will be hosting field events, along with a picnic, on Saturday to honor the occasion. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk with superintendent John Wiggans:
“This is a return to tradition from days gone by, in that we will have a field day with sack races, an egg and spoon contest, three-legged races, softball tosses, bounce houses and a covered meal,” says Wiggans, “This is a way that we will wrap up the year with students, staff, and community to say goodbye as this will be our very last school year.”
The field events get underway at 9:00 a.m. and the picnic is scheduled for noon. All of those attending are asked to bring a covered dish.
