The theme of “Land of the Free, Because of the Brave” follows the fall festival. “The Concordia Fall Festival’s having the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall here in Concordia at that time. We really just want to dress up the downtown, really make it look nice, and show our support for the wall and the fall festival. Then also have the place looking nice for whenever we have visitors in town,” said St. Clair.

The judges will use the criteria of adherence to the theme, creativity, and overall excellence. “And some ideas for things that people could use, things that represent the United States of America, or freedom. And then also veterans and active military personnel,” St. Clair said, “But we really just want people to use their imaginations, use their creativity in coming up with their displays.”

The displays are permitted to be on the inside or outside of the store, but must be visible from the sidewalk.

Registration ends Friday, August 30th.
