CARROLLTON, MO – The town of Carrollton is mulling whether to continue to devote capital improvement funds on street repairs.

Attempts to project tax revenues show a smaller pool of funding to draw from in future budgets. Mayor Scott Bartlett inquired of council as their to their desired way forward during a regular session Monday night.

With budget formation around the corner, city officials considered whether to borrow or to pay for a smaller list of street projects every year.

Councilwoman Scarlet Horine’s statements were representative of council members’ agreement to proceed with a yearly street plan in the budget.

Favor was also shown toward the idea of more council interaction with department heads during budget planning this year.
