BOONE COUNTY, Mo. — The Columbia Police Department is investigating an armed robbery on Paris Road in Columbia Monday morning.

A news release from the Columbia Police Department says that officers were called at 8:09 a.m. Monday to the Subway restaurant located at the 2700 block of Paris Road after reports of a robbery with a weapon were received by dispatchers.

The suspect reportedly entered the restaurant and presented a weapon before demanding money. An unidsclosed amount of cash was taken by the suspect before fleeing the scene of the alleged crime.

According to the release, the suspect is described as a black female, about 30 years old and around 5′ 6″ tall. She was described as being of medium weight with an average build and wearing jean shorts and a black shirt.

When officers arrived they attempted to use a canine unit to track the woman’s smell but were not successful. There was no damage reported to the property. Additionally, no one was injured in the incident.
