CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo.- Approximately 12:20 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2017, Missouri Highway Patrol investigated a one-vehicle accident that sent four teenagers to the hospital with extensive injuries.
Online accident report indicates John Mays, 17, of Fulton, Mo., was westbound on a county road in Callaway County when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Mays and two other passengers were not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Haley Hyde, 14, of Fulton, Mo., Zoey Ison, 14, of Auxvasse, Mo., and Mays suffered serious injuries during the collision. Jacob Crowder, 16, also of Fulton was moderately injured.
Mays and all occupants were transported to University Hospital by Callaway County EMS.
