PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Sedalia man has been sentenced to 87 years in prison for a robbery and shooting that occurred in 2014.

On October 11, 2018, Henry Lee Ward, 20, was found guilty by a Pettis County jury on felony counts of first degree robbery, first degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and receiving stolen property. Ward was charged with the robbery at Gold Buyer in Sedalia, where the owner, Wesley Brown, survived being beaten and shot twice.

The judge sentenced Ward to 30, 20, 7 and two 15 year terms to be served consecutively in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
