MACON COUNTY, Mo. – An accused child molester has been released from jail and placed on house arrest in Macon County.
The homeowner provided the court with verification Friday that the defendant, Cory James Scott, 20, of Laclede, could be hooked to a monitoring device at their residence. Other conditions are supervision of bond conditions and no contact with the victims or any other minor. Scott is charged with first degree sodomy and two counts of fourth degree child molestation after reportedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a victim under the age of 17, in December of 2018.
Scott was released at 4:00 p.m. Friday, with a court date set on February 28, 2019.
