COLUMBIA, Mo. – A man suspected in a shooting in Columbia, turned himself in to authorities last night.
Police released a statement Friday night saying Deangelo Montrez Butler, 27, surrendered around 6:30 at the Boone County Jail. Butler was arrested for felony assault in the first degree, armed crimina action, two felony probation warrants, three warrants for failure to appear and three out of county warrants. Investigators allege that Butler is the man who fled from the 1700 block of Stanford Drive, after a woman was shot at 12:05 yesterday afternoon.
The woman is expected to recover.
