A bill to change the regular Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen meeting from Monday to the second Tuesday of each month failed this week.  Council also made several appointments and approved a tractor pull in the park on the last weekend in July.  They also addressed concerns about a clogged drainage tube.  The Festival Board spoke at Monday’s meeting.  The board approved a liquor license for the time and the closure of several streets.  The festival will be held August first through the fourth.  During closed session, they appointed Timothy Davis as a Reserve Police officer.
