The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen held a special meeting this Monday. During a closed session, the Board decided to no longer retain the services of Police Officer James Cupp. The vote was three in favor of firing Cupp, with Alderman Wyatt Lea voting against the measure. Cupp was promoted to a full-time officer position in December 2012.
In the same session, the Board voted unanimously to hire Adam Evans as a temporary police officer, effective until the meeting on December 9th.
