SHELBY COUNTY, Mo.– Two Mexico, Mo. men were injured in a t-bone accident involving a box truck Thursday morning, one man taken to the hospital by helicopter.

Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 8 a.m. on US 36 at Lentner Road. A box truck driven by Curtis Harrison, 52, was southbound and attempted to cross US 36 and struck the passenger side of a westbound Ford F350 driven by Frederick Devault, 42.

Devault’s truck overturned in the median. William Moreland, 81, of Mexico, Mo., a passenger in Devault’s vehicle, was air-lifted to University Hospital with serious injuries.

Devault was also taken to the hospital by EMS with moderate injuries. Harrison was reportedly uninjured.
