Missouri Senators resumed talks Monday regarding a proposal to rebuild I-70. Funds for these repairs will be paid for with tolls along the highway. Senator Mike Kehoe told his colleagues this is a measure that will allow the highway commission to move forward in a very limited scope.

“For almost a year now we have been talking about a conversation to the transportation problems Missouri faces.” Senator Kehoe said. “And this is one piece of that conversation which would give limited authority to the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission to explore the possibility of a public-private partenership. This would allow the Hwy Commission to move forward in a very limited scope.”
