CARROLLTON, Mo.- During a presentation at the Carroll County Court House Monday, Tara Industries LLC, the largest agribusiness industrial park in the state, provided 10 assault rifles to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office through donation.
Tara Industries, LLC converts a variety of plant and animal derived products into clean bio-fuels and is the third largest of its kind in the United States. William Johnson COL (Ret.) CGFM, of Tara Industries, LLC was on hand this afternoon to present 10 assault rifles to Sheriff Jewell McCoy and multiple other deputies.
The provided equipment include nine 5.56mm and one 7.62mm semi-automatic rifles equipped with a 20 round magazine, sliding stocks, and quick sight scopes. The estimated price according to Sheriff McCoy is around $20,000.
Along with managing partners Dennis Oser and Joseph Fischer, Johnson spoke on the importance of public and private partnerships in Carroll County that can further solve some of the funding needs within county departments.
“Sheriff McCoy has been an icon in local law enforcement for many decades and we want to make sure he has the tools and resources his office needs to stay ahead of crime.” said Joe Fischer. “We are thrilled to be able to make this donation and look forward to working with the Sheriff in the future.” stated Dennis Oser.
Tara Industries, LLC worked with key government officials including county commissioners and County Clerk Peggy McGaugh to provide the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office with the necessary equipment.
