Continued discussion of the Highway 36 speed limit is on the agenda for the Chillicothe City Council Monday evening. Members have been considering lowering the limit around town to reduce the number of accidents at their intersections.
A public hearing on the 2013 General and Parks Tax Levy will start off the meeting. An economc development agreement with Cleantide Containers, Inc. and IBC North America, Inc. will be taken under consideration by Council.
A discussion on the ordinance regarding wheelchairs is also planned. A lease agreement with the museum will be taken under consideration. The City has donated an old firetruck, but the vehicle cannot be insured for use in parades unless owned or leased by the museum. Council is looking for a way to let them insure the truck.
That meeting gets underway at 6:30 in City Hall. Council will first meet for a visit of the new hospital construction site at 5:00, and will move the workshop to the City Hall Conference Room at 6:00.
