The tax rate renewal will be discussed at Tuesday evening’s School Board meeting in Carrollton. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Superintendent John Oetinger:
The Carrollton School District has historically set their tax rate at the ceiling, and plan to do so again in 2013. “There will be a slight increase. It’s just a few pennies overall. The operating tax rate increase increases a little bit, and then the tax rate for the school building, there’s not increase to that at all,” said Oettinger.
The Board will also discuss broker services. They are considering renewing insurance with various carriers. “The District has a broker that we’ve worked with that goes out and obtains competitive insurance rates for our employees,” said Oettinger, “This has zero effect on the employees’ current insurance policy. This is before you get to that point.”
They meet at 7:00 in the Central Office.
