PLATTE COUNTY, MO- Taxpayers in Platte County will reportedly have to cover legal bills accrued by the county prosecutor through professional misconduct.

Prosecutor, Eric Zahnd was found guilty of violating professional conduct rules, a disciplinary council recommended the suspension of his law license, but that course of action was struck down by the Missouri Supreme Court. The legal battle will cost taxpayers around $70,000. The conduct in question involved the public excoriation of supporters of a man Zahnd was prosecuting. The defendant had been found guilty of pedophilia.
