A former substitute teacher in the Kansas City area will be spending the next five years in federal prison, after being sentenced earlier this week.  32-year old Kurtis Neely of Raymore pleaded guilty last year to charges of attempting to receive child pornography over the internet.  U.S. Attorney Beth Phillips says the case began as an undercover operation by a suburban St. Louis police officer.

At the time, Neely was a track coach at St. Joseph’s Academy, an all girls school in the St. Louis area.  U.S. District Judge Scott Wright sentenced Neely to five years in prison, without parole.
