HOLT COUNTY, Mo. — An accident west of Craig injured two area residents, one seriously, Sunday evening in Holt County.

A report from the Highway Patrol indicates the crash happened on State Highway 111 about two miles west of Craig at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

A car driven by 13-year-old Madisyn L. Landers was eastbound when it ran off the south side of the road. Landers then over-corrected and traveled back onto the highway before skidding and running off the south side of the road again.

The vehicle then struck an embankment and rolled over onto the drivers side.

Landers and a passenger, neither of whom where wearing seat belts, were injured. Landers was moderately injured while 50-year-old Tierra L. Rails suffered serious injuries. They were both taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment.
