A Highway Patrol Trooper in St. Joseph arrested a Houston, Texas resident Friday for 1 felony and 4 misdemeanor counts.

According to arrest records, Matthew Berry, 27, was taken into custody after initially being pulled over for speeding. Follow-up charges include possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license as well as trafficking in stolen identities.

Berry’s bond has been set at $75,000 cash only. He remains behind bars at a Buchanan County jail.
