Media Advisory from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department:

Thank You Luncheon for Tornado Victims/Workers today 12-2p @ Celebration Cntr, 1701 W 32nd. Public is invited!

An Ava, MO church wants to do something nice for Sedalia and the people involved with the tornado. The Faith Now Church plans to be here today, June 14th. The First United Methodist Celebration Center has donated the use of their church kitchen area. Meal time is scheduled 12noon until 2pm. Faith Now will providing hamburgers, hot dogs, and other good stuff. They have enough food for 500 people.

Sorry for the short notice we just heard about this yesterday. It seemed such a waste of resources to tell them that Sedalia could not use their generosity. Faith Now is excited about helping and a dinner for the Emergency Responders and people whose lives were changed seems like a good idea. The Salvation Army is promoting the event and it would be great if you can attend. Pass the word to those involved (Red Cross, Fire, Police, etc). The Salvation Army will get word to the people that were impacted.

Carryouts will be available.
