Saline county sheriff’s deputies are investigating two separate reports of theft over the weekend. Sheriff Wally George reports a deputy was called to rural Nelson in reference to a stolen window unit air conditioner. A vehicle description was obtained from a witness that noticed a suspicious vehicle at the scene earlier in the day on Saturday. Elsewhere, the wheels were stolen off a vehicle parked at the Fireworks Outlet Store. The owner, an Overland Park, KS man, told deputies he had parked the vehicle late Saturday and returned just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, to find the car sitting on blocks. The wheels are valued at 18 hundred dollars each. Both investigations continue.
