RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo.- On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, the Randolph County Prosecutor’s Office filed formal charges against Brittney Lynn Bowen, 25, in connection with the October 6, 2016 homicide of Kevin G. McCuiston.

A probable cause statement indicates Moberly Police responded to a shots fired call Thursday, October 6, 2016,  at 7:02 a.m.  at 1505 Calhoun Street and found smoke coming from the residence After extinguishing a small fire, police found McCuiston, dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound possibly to the head.

Joseph Kertz, 28 of Moberly, Mo., and Ethan Longbine 26, were also charged in connection with McCuiston’s death.

Bowen has been charged with felony murder in the second-degree, felony robbery in the first-degree, and felony armed criminal action. Bowen was taken into custody without incident on March 29, 2017 and is currently being held in the Chariton County Jail on 500,000 dollars cash/surety bond.
