CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A young boy who wandered away from his home near the Lake of the Ozarks Saturday, July 7,  and was transported by Staff For Life to University Hospital, was pronounced dead yesterday, June 9.

Three-year-old Jared D. Jones, of East Lynne, wandered away from his home just after 4:45 p.m. Saturday, according to a report from the Missouri Water Patrol.

He was reportedly later found at the .5 mile marker of the Pearson Branch of the Lake of the Ozarks.

He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
