Antiquing is a serious hobby for some and a nationwide organization visiting Brookfield may show it to be a profitable one. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with Vice President of Media Relations Matthew Enright.
The Treasure Hunters Roadshow is looking for rare antiques, precious metals, and collectibles according to Enright. Community members are asked to bring items for experts to evaluate. Enright makes no guarantees but has seen some amazing finds ranging from a 19th century electric chair to an 1850’s gold coin worth over $125,000. You can walk in and have your property assessed for free and patrons have the option to sell their “treasures”, but there’s no obligation.
The Roadshow is holding court Wednesday at the YMCA from 9:00-6:00.
