Press Release from the Trenton Police Department

In recent months we have fielded complaints about trash blowing from Hope Haven recycling trucks. Today we met with the management and drivers of Hope Haven to help try and mitigate this problem and keep our city clean and beautiful.

They have agreed to try and be more mindful as well as make changes in procedures on how they collect and haul their recycling.

As a community we can do also help abate some of these issues by putting recyclables in a plastic bag and tying the top. This will help to ensure that recyclables will not blow out.

We will continue to monitor this situation. If you see further problems, please contact us so that we can take further actions.

Thanks for the help!

Anyone with complaints regarding this issue is encouraged to contact the Trenton Police Department at 660-359-5557
