A Grain Valley teacher accused of inapproptely touching students in his classroom and during school outings will face a jury trial on February 25, at 9:00 a.m in a Ray City Circuit Court. According to court documents Matthew Nelson, 33, is facing multipe charges of child molestation relating to ten seperate victims. Grain Valley Police arrested Nelson on January 24, after being informed by parents that he touched their sons private areas through clothing ,or directly, during school hours. Police say charges may continue to rise as more victims come forward. Nelson posted a $250,000 bond that is continguent on no contact with the victims or any individual under 17 years of age.
