BOONE COUNTY, Mo. – A pre-trial conference in a Boone County murder case was postponed Monday morning.

A report from casenet says that the attorney for Dariel M. Reid, 19, filed a motion for the April 24, jury trial to be continued. The motion was not opposed by the prosecutor, so the court set a new criminal setting date 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23. A new pre-trial conference date will also be set at that time.

Reid is charged with second degree murder and distribution of a controlled substance in the shooting death of  Keith Chambers, 33, during a drug deal in Columbia.
