RAY COUNTY, Mo. – A trial setting in a Ray County weapons case was postponed Wednesday, as attorneys work on possible plea deal. The court set a plea or trial setting hearing for 9:00 a.m.
The court set a plea or trial setting hearing for 9:00 a.m. on June 13, for Aaron Dion Haggins Jr., 25, of Pleasant Valley. Haggins is accused of pointing a handgun at a man and woman during an argument in Lawson in April of 2017. The handgun was later found in a bedroom where two children were sleeping.
Haggins is charged with two felony counts each of first degree assault, armed criminal action and endangering the welfare of a child.
