BROOKFIELD, Mo – A court hearing Wednesday, January 3, is in preparation for the trial of a Brookfield man accused of multiple felony counts of assault and armed criminal action.

Court records indicate Danny Gardner allegedly fired several shots in a Brookfield residence during a domestic altercation, which prompted law enforcement to respond to the scene in June of last year.  He also threatened police during a standoff.  No one was killed during the incident.

A change of venue moves the three-day trial to Sullivan County, to begin in early February.
