“In my case, I’m very interested in the social issues,” said Sugg,”Seems to me the Republican Party has gone off the beaten path a little as far as how right-wing or conservative they’ve become.”

“It’s very humbling to get such a warm embrace from the people, the community, here in Carrollton and Carroll County,” said Talbert.

Other speakers were Prosecuting Attorney Cassandra Brown, Treasurer Alta O’Neal, County Commissioner Jim Stewart, and John Scott, who represented State Attorney General Chris Koster.

Jim Stewart is running for Carroll County Commissioner.
