The Chillicothe Board of Education will hold a public hearing regarding the first day of the 2013-2014 school year Tuesday evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Superintendent Roger Barnes:
Tuition for students outside the district will be discussed during the regular session. Barnes said due to a recalculation using new guidelines, it will probably be reduced from $7,900 per year to $7,100.
The public hearing is required for any school district that wants to start the 2013-2014 year more than ten days before Labor Day. The Chillicothe District is looking at starting August 21st.
They meet in the Administrative Building at 6:15 for the public hearing and the regular meeting starts at 6:30.
