COLUMBIA, Mo.– Two 17-year-old Columbia residents are in custody on identical charges. Brett Garnett Cannell and Mary Katlyn Coleman are both charged with one count each of first degree burglary.
Police were sent to a burglary in progress in North Columbia late Sunday night after a 43-year-old man said he saw two males inside his home. Police found a TV lying on the ground outside the home and a sliding door open. Cannell was apprehended nearby, and Coleman was also taken into custody after being found riding in a car near the scene.
Coleman and Cannell are being held at the Boone County Adult Detention Facility. A 16-year-old has also been arrested, his identity not released.
Cannell’s bond is set at $100,000 and Coleman’s at $20,000. Both are also scheduled for an initial arraignment for today at 1:30 in Columbia.
