COLUMBIA, Mo. — Columbia officers have made arrests concerning an investigation undertaken Sunday night into reports of shots fired.
According to a press release from Columbia police, an investigation led to the arrest of Michael Shields, 38, who fired multiple rounds of ammunition at a vehicle that was being stolen from a parking lot at 1612 Providence Road.
The driver of that vehicle, Matthew Moore, 39, was also arrested for motor vehicle tampering. shields, being a convicted felon, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, armed criminal action, and second degree assault.
