MACON COUNTY, Mo. — A man and woman from Lee’s Summit are facing felony drug allegations after charges were filed in Macon County.
According to a probable cause statement, 42-year-old Michael Glen Zieger was stopped by an officer with the North Missouri Drug Task Force on Thursday, October 18 for outstanding warrants in Macon County.
A probable cause search of Zieger’s vehicle was carried out and prosecutors allege that drugs and multiple drug-related items were located in the car.
Zieger, who is a convicted felon, was found in possession of a firearm and more than 114 grams of methamphetamine.
A passenger, 29-year-old Amanda N. Odell, was also found with drugs.
They are both formally charged with trafficking drugs in the first degree over the statutory amount and possession of a controlled substance. In addition, Zieger is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
Both are currently in custody at the Macon County Jail, with cash only bond set at $150,000, each.
Zieger and Odell are set to be arraigned in Macon County at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6.
