UPDATE: 5 p.m. – Moberly police have identified the man taken into custody after a standoff Thursday night.

Formal charges were filed against Antonio Banner, 47, including 3rd degree domestic assault, and 1st degree felony child endangerment. Banner reportedly barricaded himself in his residence in a standoff that lasted over two hours. Just before 11 p.m. Banner was arrested without further incident and taken to Randolph County Jail. Bond is currently set at $10,000 cash.


MOBERLY, Mo. – Around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night, law enforcement was involved in a standoff with an individual in Moberly.

During an investigation of Domestic Assault at a residence near Barrow and Walnut Streets, a male subject barricaded himself in his residence. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene to assist with negotiations and to aid in a peaceful resolution. At 10:57 pm, authorities sent an update to advise that the incident near Barrow and Walnut Streets was resolved without incident and the suspect is in custody.

The name of the individual is not being released at this time.
