PETTIS COUNTY, MO. — An accident in Pettis county earlier Monday afternoon left two individuals with injuries.

At about 1:15 p.m. today, 78-year-old Jack D. Bell, of Warsaw, was headed eastbound on Route V when his vehicle struck a guard rail and overturned, striking another vehicle operated by 49-year-old Anita M. Freeman, of Marshfield, before his vehicle came to rest on its roof.

Marshfield’s vehicle then travelled off of the left side of the roadway and hit a ditch.

Freeman sustained minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene of the accident while Bell was moderately injured and taken to Bothwell Hospital by Warsaw/Lincoln EMS.
