An accident in Clay County around 6:40 a.m. Monday morning sent two people to the hospital. The Highway Patrol reports, 62-year-old Marsha Blair of Excelsior Springs turned wesbound onto Highway 210 from Southbound Route N when the crash occurred. As Blair began to accelerate, she lost control of her vehicle on the ice-covered road, traveled sideways across the center line, into the path of 59-year-old Edward Owen who was eastbound on MO-210. After impact, both cars traveled off the side of the pavement and came to rest. Blair received moderate injuries and was taken to Excelsior Springs Hospital.Owen was taken to Saint Lukes Hospital with minor injuries.
