MACON COUNTY, Mo.- Two out of state resident were injured following a two-vehicle accident last night in Macon County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol crash report states, old Matthew Sams, 23, of Staples, Mn. was northbound on US 63 Highway just three miles north of Macon when he crossed the center line and struck Dustin Gilbert, 33, of Cave City, Ar., nearly head on.

Sams was transported by Macon County ambulance to Samaritan Hospital and late flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries. Gilbert was transported to Samaritan Hospital as well and was treated for minor injuries.
