COOPER COUNTY, Mo. – Two people were hospitalized after a three vehicle, rear end, crash at a construction site on Interstate 70, Saturday afternoon.

The crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol says John Diedrichsen, 66, of Hooper, Nebraska, and Roger Boyce, 73, of North Fort Meyers, Florida, was stopped in the eastbound driving lane in Cooper County, when a semi operated by Minghao Hou, 46, of San Gabriel, California, failed to stop in time. Both drivers tried to avoid the crash, but Hou struck Diedrichsen  car and careened into Boyce.

Diedrichsen’s wife, Dail Diedrichsen, 66, received moderate injuries and Boyce’s wife, Carolyn Boyce, 79, received minor injuries.
